God of War: The Movie?
 July 27th, 2005 (3:17pm) - According to Variety, Universal has picked the the movie rights from Sony Computer Entertainment to create a feature film based on the PlayStation 2’s hit video game, God of War. Alex Gartner and Charles Roven from Mosaic Media Group will produce the film. No director, scriptwriter or possible cast members have been announced, however, it’s quite possible that the search for persons to fill these positions haven’t even begun.
"We’ve been enthralled by this project since our first time playing the game in March and realized its narrative had great potential for large-screen production," Roven said. God of War is a action game based on Greek mythology and is quite possibly one of the very best games ever released for the PlayStation 2.
