Matrix Online restructures from 9 worlds to 3 worlds

July 30th, 2005 (4:06pm) - Earlier this year when Warner sold off the rights to The Matrix Online to Sony Online Entertainment, the game had 9 worlds, with its sparse community spread too thin. SOE, in addressing this concern, has decreased the size of the game to three worlds to help the community fair better.

Three all-new worlds, one being hostile, and the other two running under normal PvP rules, were created rather than using pre-existing worlds.

The change will be effective as of August 2, 2005 for the game.
