Sony ups PS2 and PSP shipment figures for the year
July 30th, 2005 (4:27pm) - In Sonys earnings report, they had adjusted the shipment targets for both the Playstation 2 and Playstation Portable by a million each. SCE said that before the end of their fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2006, the PS2 and PSP would each ship 13 million units. Sony has shipped 3.53 million PS2 units worldwide during the first quarter, which was 2.82 million units more than the same period of last year. The PSP has shipped 2.09 million units in their first quarter as well.
