Eidos Halts Development of Carmageddon
August 19th, 2005 (6:03pm) - It is being reported that Eidos has stopped the development of the latest Carmageddon game at developer Visual Science. Sources close to the developer are saying that the development of the game stopped approximately two weeks ago. Eidos has not made any new statements regarding the games development. It is possible that the games development may have been moved to a different development studio if not canned entirely.
This latest Carmageddon instalment was believed to be in development for more than two years for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC. The original Carmageddon was surrounded by tons of controversy due to its violent presentation, which included running pedestrians over.
