Halo Movie Planned For 2007
August 23rd, 2005 (12:54pm) - Halo will be hitting the silver screen sooner than you might thing, thanks to Universal and 20th Century Fox. According to Variety, the movie will hit within the next two years.
The agreement puts Universal in charge of the fims production, and the domestic release, while Fox will handle everything else world wide. Both studios will split the profits evenly, and Microsoft will be getting 10% of the profits on top of an additional $10 million. This is a better deal for the film companies, as Microsoft originally wanted 15%. Also, Microsoft wont have total control over the project as they originally wanted either, though they will have "creative consultants" around to make suggestions. Alex Garland, author of the script for "28 Days Later" was paid $1 million to write the Halo movie script. Reported by Anthony Swinnich on August 23rd, 2005 (12:54pm) [From: IGN]
