SOE Wants Gamers to Assist with Hurricane Katrina Help Efforts
September 2nd, 2005 (8:04pm) - Sony Online Entertainment is asking its fans to make a donation to the American Red Cross in order to help alleviate the suffering caused by Hurricane Katrina across the mid-Atlantic States of the United States of America. SOE has even implement a donate command into EverQuest II. When typing "/donate," players will be taken to the American Red Crosss Hurricane 2005 relief page. Also, for the 13,000 + players living in the affected areas, SOE has suspending the billing of their accounts until they will be able to play again, and items or structures in any of their games that "decay over time," will be preserved until these users next login.
