Burnout Revenge and Legends Gone Gold

September 7th, 2005 (3:01pm) - The newest instalments in today’s highest rated arcade racer series have gone gold. Burnout Revenge for the PS2 and Xbox and Burnout Legends for the PSP have gone gold and about scheduled to appear on retail shelves on September 13th.

Burnout Revenge is the highly anticipated sequel to last year’s potential Game of the Year, Burnout 3: Takedown. Revenge builds on Takedown’s formula, bringing back many of the features first introduced in that game, including crash-breakers and crash mode, and will add many new features that is sure to make gameplay more chaotic and fun than ever before. Now traffic will become an instrument of destruction as players slam into them in order to toss them into other racers.

Burnout Legends for the PSP is the first portable instalment in the franchise and it promises to be a worthy addition to any PSP owner’s game library as Burnout Legends is a collection of the best game modes from previous titles in the series, including race, time attack, road rage, pursuit, and crash modes, as well as multiplayer modes that use the PSP’s wireless connectivity.

The Nintendo DS version of Burnout Legends is expected to be available in November.
