September 8^th, 2005 (11:17am) - 2K Games has announced that will be offering a special "Pre-Order Edition" of Sid Meier’s Civilization IV to those who pre-order the game from participating video game retailers. This Pre-Order Edition will launch on the same day as the regular version of the game but it will feature a different collector’s packaging, a soundtrack of the game, a keyboard template, a tech tree map and spiral bound version of the manual. Those who place a pre-order for the game will receive this special edition of the game for no extra cost.
