September 15^th, 2005 (2:24pm) - Just after EA announced they’d have exclusive rights to the NFL, they announced they’d also have exclusive rights to the Arena Football Leauge, even though there had never been a game based around them before.

EA has announced that Arena Football will be released for the PS2 and Xbox on February 7th, 2006, two weeks into the AFL season.

EA’s Tiburon Studio will be handling the developement duties, and Jon Dean, the game’s Executive Producer had this to say.

"The goal of EA SPORTS Arena Football is to make gamers think differently about how they play a football videogame. Arena Football is a fast-paced action oriented sport that relies on big plays and relentless offense -- we will give gamers a host of features that will deliver this experience."

The game will feature eight on eight play, just like the AFL normallly plays, and players can be knocked over the walls.
