THQ Ships Bionicle: Maze of Shadows for the GBA

September 15th, 2005 (3:07pm) - THQ today announced that BIONICLE: Maze of Shadows for the Game Boy Advance is now available in retail outlets across North America. Maze of Shadows is a RPG-light action adventure game based on the recent BIONICLE toy line, DVD and novel. The game is the latest title under a multi-title exclusive publishing agreement between LEGO Interactive and THQ.

"We are extremely excited to bring BIONICLE: Maze of Shadows to the Game Boy Advance," stated John Ardell, director, global brand management, THQ. "The unique gameplay style will be a first for the LEGO franchise giving fans a unique handheld experience."

"We are thrilled to be working with THQ to bring the latest LEGO properties to the interactive world," stated Jay Bruns, Director Partnership and Alliance Management, LEGO. "BIONICLE: Maze of Shadows is sure to please fans of LEGO, young and old."

In Maze of Shadows six great heroes, the Toa Metru, search for the power to awaken their sleeping people, the Matoran. The Toa Metru are forced on a quest to the very heart of the Maze of Shadows. Players must lead them through the many dangers that lie ahead by taking control of all six Toa Metru and using their individual skills to overcome the challenges that face them. The game features six playable characters, each of which have their own special skills that the player can use to overcome challenges. With six distinct areas of the Maze of Shadows and three Single Player Modes, players will be able to test their skills in many different environments. In addition, by using the Game Boy Advance Link Cable, two players will be able to compete against each other.
