The Revolution to be Given Official Name Soon?
September 16th, 2005 (3:01pm) - The newest pictures of Nintendos next-generation video game console, which still goes by the codename "Revolution," clearly show that Nintendo is looking to launch the platform in a glossy white color, since all the images released showcase that color of the platform. However, when looking closely at the images, youll notice that there is no sign of the Revolution logo Nintendo had featured on the console when they first revealed the shell of the console at E3 this past May. Many believe that the removal and "no show" of the logo hint that Nintendo is one the verge of revealing the official name of the console. However, Nintendo could simply be redesigning the logo or possibly not using one at all.
Many fans believed that the codename "Revolution" would actually be used as the consoles official name, as the codename "Nintendo DS" became the official name of Nintendos dual-screened handheld, but these days it seems as if we can never really guess what Nintendo has planned for gamers.
