Third Prince of Persia Subtitled; New Details
September 21st, 2005 (2:42pm) - The latest chapter in Ubisofts critcally acclaimed Prince of Persia has just officially been subtitled. The game will be known now as Prince of Persia: the Two Thrones.
The game features a second playable character, a "Speed Kill system," a massive outdoor Babylon environment, chariot combat-racing and more. Ubisoft is confident that this title is poised to take the action-adventure gaming experiences to a new level this December. "Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones will allow players to explore the two different sides of the Princes divided soul," said Yannis Mallat, the games executive producer. "The Prince will battle with his inner demons and explore his alter ego. Hell struggle with the boundaries between good and evil in his quest to regain his rightful place as ruler of Babylon." The story follows as such (SPOILERS AHEAD): the Prince makes his way home to Babylon with Kaileena, the Empress of Time. Instead of a peaceful return, he finds his kingdom ravaged by war, and finds out that Kaileena is the target of a brutal plot. When Kaileena is kidnapped, the Prince tracks her to the Palace. He arrives just in time to see her murdered by a powerful enemy. Her death unleashes the Sands of Time, which strike the Prince. Cast to the streets, hunted as a fugitive, the Prince soon discovers that the Sands have tainted him, too. They have given rise to a Dark Prince, whose spirit gradually possesses him.
