September 22^nd, 2005 (1:29pm) - Activision has released the highly anticipated Ultimate Spider-Man. In this newest cel-shaded entry in the Spider-Man video game franchise, players once again get to explore the streets and skies of the New York City environment in all its free roaming glory. Thanks to stylistic cel-shaded visuals, gamers are propelled into a virtual comic book world through interactive motion graphics panels and 3D Comic Inking Technology that bring to life an original storyline written and illustrated by the creative team behind Marvel’s best-selling "Ultimate Spider-Man" comic book series.

Ultimate Spider-Man is available for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and the GameCube for a suggested retail price of $49.99 and has been rated "T" (Teen – with language and violence) by the ESRB. The PC/CD-ROM version of Ultimate Spider-Man is now available for a suggested retail price of $29.99 and has been rated "T" (Teen – with language and violence) by the ESRB. The Nintendo DS version of Ultimate Spider-Man is now available for a suggested retail price of $39.99 and is rated "E10+" (Everyone 10+ - with cartoon violence) by the ESRB. And finally, the Game Boy Advance version of the game is now available for a suggested retail price of $29.99 and has been rated "E10+" ("Everyone 10+ – with cartoon violence") by the ESRB.
