Nintendo DS Price Cut in Europe

September 23rd, 2005 (2:09pm) - Nintendo has confirmed rumors of a Nintendo DS price cut in Europe with todays announcement of a DS price cut going into affect on October 7th, the same day Nintendogs launches in Europe. The DS will be available for a suggest price of £89.99/€129.99.

Additionally, Nintendo will releasing two Nintendogs bundles on that day with newly released Nintendo DS colored systems. A pink DS will be bundled with the Dachshund version of Nintendogs while the Labrador version will come bundle with a new blue colored DS. It will retail at £99.99 in the UK and carry an approx. €149.99 price tag in other territories.

Nintendo has also confirmed that the DS sold one million units in under three months in Europe and hopes to have sold 6.65 million Nintendo DS systems worldwide.
