Matrix Games to Publish Star Chamber: The Harbinger Saga for PC
September 26th, 2005 (1:04am) - Matrix Games has announced they have signed Star Chamber: The Harbinger Saga from developer Worlds Apart Productions.
A strategic trading card game set in a sci-fi themed universe will be released as part of the Matrix Games line of products later this year. Star Chamber: The Harbinger Saga will have enhanced graphics and an improved UI, new maps, new cards, four player games, a tournament drafting system, and many minor adjustments to improve the game. The engine is based on the critically acclaimed The Lord of the Rings Online Trading Card Game. Star Chamber is a turn-based online strategy board game of space combat and diplomacy, and players use special decks of cards that represent the assets and abilities of their favorite alien races. With hundreds of different cards and three victory conditions, the number of strategies you can develop is endless. You can conquer your enemys home world for a military victory, unearth ancient alien artifacts for a cultural win, or double-cross your way to a political victory at the Star Council. Cards include game elements such as ships, heroes, politicians, and special alien technologies, and the game models intrigue, economic planning, and both space and ground combat. With numerous maps to choose from you will never experience the same game twice in Star Chamber.
