25 to Life Delayed Into Next Year
September 26th, 2005 (10:14am) - Eidos has revealed that the Avalanche-developed 25-to-Life video game has been delayed into 2006, with no specific release revealed. 25 to Life has been in development for the Xbox, PlayStation 2 and PC, with a October release originally planned.
"Following the recent management change and restructure, Eidos is able to reevaluate its calendar of releases giving us the opportunity to make changes in the best interest of the business," said Bill Garder, CEO of US Publishing. "It is in light of this review that we have decided to move the ship date for 25 to Life from October 2005 into next year." Despite this statement, it isnt entirely clear as to why the game had been pushed back into next year. However, if one were to assume, itd be wise to believe that developmental issues are the reasons for the delay. 25 to Life is expected to attract a great deal of controversy whenever it does see a release. The game revolves around street violence, including battles between cops and gangsters, with players being able to play as either side. Reported by Elias Dounis on September 26th, 2005 (10:14am)
