Taito Sequel to On the Ball for the DS
September 26th, 2005 (10:51am) - Taito has announced that they are in development with a game called "Mawashite Koron" for the Nintendo DS. The game has been revealed to be a spiritual successor to the companys On the Ball video game (a.k.a. "Cameltry" in Japan) for the Super Nintendo.
The players objective in Mawashite Koron is to lead a ball through a series of mazes under a limited amount of time. In order to do this, players will have to rotate the the mazes platform to the left and right. In order to manipulate the mazes balance, players will manipulate the touch-screen on the lowermost DS screen, while the top screen will give players a closer view of the ball going through the maze. Additionally, the bottom screen will also feature a touch-screen command that allows for the ball to speed up, which gives it "destructive" abilities as a result. The design of the game is very similar to SEGAs incredibly popular Super Monkey Ball series, and like Super Monkey Ball DS, Mawashite Koron will see a release in Japan for the DS on December 1st.
