New Nintendo published DS titles revealed
Brain Training 2, Zelda's Tingle in his own adventure, Custom Robo, new Wario platformer and more! October 5th, 2005 (4:37pm) - If you thought the onslaught of news from Nintendos press conference was over, you were wrong! Nintendo has revealed a list of games they will be publishing for the DS through the holidays and into the next year and many new games have been revealed.
Below is a list and brief description of the new games announced: ASH Earlier today we reported that Hironobu Sakaguchi Mistwalker Studios would be creating a simulation RPG for the DS called Archaic Sealed Heat (or ASH for short). The game will easily make its way to the top of DS owners most wanted lists for the simple fact that Mistwalker is shaping up to be one promising RPG developer. The game is being worked on by many individuals who have worked on the successful Final Fantasy series, including composer Hitoshi Sakimoto, whos also composing the soundtrack to the upcoming Final Fantasy XII. ASH is scheduled for release sometime in 2006 and will be published by Nintendo. Custom Robo DS The promising Custom Robo series will finally be making its way to the DS next year in the tentatively titled Custom Robo DS. The game is expected to be much like the previous games in the series, which have you customizing your own mech robots and dueling them in an arena. The top-screen of the DS will show the 3D battlefield, while the screen below shows your Robos schematics. Densetsu no Starfee 4 Known as the Legend of Starfee to non-Japanese speaking readers, Densetsu no Starfee 4 is the fourther title in the ever popular series. This platforming series has not come overseas yet but has gathered a good deal of praise in Japan. This fourth title in the Legend of Starfee series stays true to the roots of the previous GBA games. Detect Hacker Adventure games like Trace Memory were once considered to be a dying breed once the FPS and RTS took over PC gaming, but theyre seeing a revival of sorts on the DS. Detect Hacker is yet another one of these adventure games and it will feature anime-style characters and 2D artwork. The game is being developed by Sakura Wars developer Red Entertainment and is scheduled for a release sometime next year. Mario Basket 3 on 3 As we also reported earlier today, Square Enix is developing a new Mario Sports game in the realm of basketball. This isnt the first time weve seen Mario and Crew playing basketball but this is the first full fledged game created to feature them and their crazy antics. The game is scheduled for a release sometime in 2006. More DS Brain Training for Adults The sequel to the best selling DS Brain Training for Adults is in development for the DS and will see a release in Japan on December 29th. Puzzleloop Not much is known about Puzzleloop other than the fact that Nintendo has given the game a tentative 2006 release. Tingle RPG Ive seen and I couldnt believe it. You may love him, you may hate him, or you may just be indifferent about his character, but Tingle from the Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask and The Wind Waker will be getting his own RPG adventure for the DS. The game is scheduled to appear sometime in 2006 and you better believe well being doing are best to get you the most info we can about the game. Wish Room Wish Room is another game that we dont know much about, however, its titled as an adventure game scheduled for release in 2006. Early speculation leads us to believe that the game will be very much like the recently released Trace Memory. Kaitou Wario If you havent played any of the Wario Land games then you should know that your missing out on of the very best modern day 2D platformers available. Whether "Thief Wario" is a direct sequel to these games or not, the game is a 2D platform like its Wario Land predecessors, with the bottom screen showing all the 2D goodness and the top featuring a map of sorts. 2006 is the year Thief Wario makes its appearance on the DS. Eigo ga Nigate na Otona no DS Training If you thought the Brain Training franchise wasnt going to expand further get ready to be surprised because Nintendo is at it again with a game whos title translates into "Adult DS training for people who are bad at English." Yes, this game is meant for Japanese players to learn English. Well have more on these games at a later time.
