PSP Firmware Version 2.50 Released
A couple of new features added, most notably LocationFree TV support, as well as a few browser enhancements October 13th, 2005 (8:27pm) - Sony has released the latest firmware, version 2.50 for the Playstation Portable. Coming almost a week after the release of v2.01, v2.50 includes the following most notable features:
- LocationFree Player support has been added for streaming TV - Auto Select and Uni Code have been added to encoding in browser - Text size and display mode can be saved in browser - Input history in browser can be saved - Copyright Video can now be played under memory stick - Setting time and date via internet - WPA AND PSK have been added to network setting options - Korean input on keyboard Version 2.50 quite obviously also fixes the exploit found in version 2.00, which was actually fixed in version 2.01.
