PSP Firmware Version 2.50 Released
A couple of new features added, most notably LocationFree TV support, as well as a few browser enhancements  October 13th, 2005 (8:27pm) - Sony has released the latest firmware, version 2.50 for the Playstation Portable. Coming almost a week after the release of v2.01, v2.50 includes the following most notable features:
- LocationFree Player support has been added for streaming TV
- Auto Select and Uni Code have been added to encoding in browser
- Text size and display mode can be saved in browser
- Input history in browser can be saved
- Copyright Video can now be played under memory stick
- Setting time and date via internet
- WPA AND PSK have been added to network setting options
- Korean input on keyboard Version 2.50 quite obviously also fixes the exploit found in version 2.00, which was actually fixed in version 2.01. Reported by David Amirian on October 13th, 2005 (8:27pm)
