Nintendo at CES?
Possible chance of learning more about the Revolution game console in early January. October 18th, 2005 (8:08pm) - Yesterday, the official website of the International Consumer Electronics Show revealed that Nintendo would be be at the event alongside the likes of ATI, Microsoft, and Sony -- most likely to showcase its Nintendo Revolution game console.
"Its all fun and games for AMD, Apex Digital, ATI, Logitech, Nvidia, Alienware, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo and Gizmondo. Okay, maybe not all. These companies are serious when it comes to gaming and digital entertainment, and thats why theyll be at the 2006 International CES," read the site at one point yesterday. Soon after, however, the wesbite removed any mention of Nintendos presence at the event and told fellow gaming website Revolution Report the following: We apologize there was an error on our web site. CES sales team has been in touch with Nintendo. However [Nintendos attendance] is not yet official. Please visit our online directory in the future for changes. If any further questions or comments please contact us back. And thank you for identifying the error.Thank you, Customer Service Nintendo is not known for making an appearance at CES so it IS possible that the inclusion of Nintendos name in the original statement may have indeed been an error. However, it should be noted that Nintendo also had a habit of not attending the Tokyo Game Show, but company president Satoru Iwata just so happened to reveal the Revolutions controversial controller at the event this past September in his keynote address. The 2006 International CES is to be held January 5-8, 2006 in Las Vegas. Reported by Elias Dounis on October 18th, 2005 (8:08pm)
