PS3 to include parental controls
October 25th, 2005 (12:38am) - Sony has confirmed that the Playstation 3 will come with built-in parental control settings to allow parents to control what their children play.
The cause of concern comes from the large amount of controversy in recent days over the violence and sexual factors included in gaming with laws being passed to restrict the sale of said Mature-rated games. Just like the Xbox 360, the Playstation 3 will detect what rating the game being inserted has and check it against the parental control settings programmed on the console and decide whether or not it will play without the proper override.
