NWA TNA videogame from Midway?
Total Non-stop Action on the PS2 and Xbox October 26th, 2005 (12:54am) - Awhile back it was believed that Electronic Arts had picked up the license to develop games based on the NWA TNA professional wrestling league but that deal diffused over time since an agreement between the two parties was not reached. Now, however, it seems that Midway has signed an exclusive deal with this up-and-coming wrestling organization.
Rumor has it that a wrestling game using the NWA TNA license is already in development for the PS2 and Xbox, with some wrestlers already brought in to work on some initial motion-capture work. NWA TNA is the next big pro wrestling organization. Unlike the WWE, each match is held in a six-sided ring and in addition to this, NWA TNA is home to some innovative and extremely dangerous match types, including the Ultimate X and Monsters Ball. The Ultimate X is a match type where a championship belt is suspended in the air 15-feet above the ring and in order to get it, the wrestlers must climb up wires and move to the belt; of course, this allows for an incredible amount of aerial action youve never seen done before in a wrestling match. Monsters Ball is the ultimate hardcore brawl, featuring thumbtacks, tables, chairs and objects of thelike. NWA TNA is home to many pro wrestling superstars, including Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Sabu, Raven, Jeff Hardy, and Rhyno. NWA TNA now airs every Monday night on Spike TV.
