Matsuoka Leaves Nintendo
Long time Nintendo employee leaves the company, but doesn't go very far. November 21st, 2005 (2:36pm) - Hirofumi Matsuoka has been a part of Nintendos R&D1 development house since the days of the NES, but now he says good-bye to his former employer.
Matsuoka has moved on to Creatures Inc., a development house known for developing the Pokemon games for the GameBoy and the animated series. Matsuoka worked on such classics as Balloon Fight, Kid Icarus, the original Metroid, and took the reigns of the Super Mario Land/Wario Land series on the GameBoy and Gameboy Advance when Shigeru Miyamoto became to busy to handle them.
