Simple Way To Fix Xbox 360 Crashes

With a pair of scissors, some string and a bit of inginuity you too can stop your 360 from crashing.

November 27th, 2005 (2:58pm) - Dan from Deluth posted on the GameSpot forums how he stopped his Xbox 360 from crashing every 20 minutes or so. By using a piece of string and tying his power supply up he was able to hand it in the air. By hanging the supply it allows air to get all around it and cool easier.

This fix should work for anyone who is having issues because their power supply is overheating. A few other notes on how to fix this:

  • Don’t hide the supply in a cabinet, this will allow very little airflow to reach it thus making it heat up faster.
  • If you’re still having problems get a fan to blow over the supply.

Hopefully Microsoft will have an official fix or replacement for this problem soon.

If you have any other tips for users please post a comment below or in our forums.
