Nintendo Dismisses Recent Twilight Princess Rumors
The game's use of Revolution-exclusive controller functionality dismissed as "pure speculation" January 6th, 2006 (1:34pm) - Awhile back we made a report on a rumor coming from NGC Magazine that claimed that one of the main reasons regarding the delay of the GameCubes The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess had been to allow the game to use a Revolution-exclusive control method when playing the game using the next-gen consoles "freestyle" controller on the backwards compatible Revolution game console. While this rumor is still very much believed to be true, Nintendo has gone of the record to dismiss this rumor as "pure speculation." Interestingly enough, this simple comment does not completely disavow any truth to this rumor.
"The article in the January edition of NGC Magazine is pure speculation," the company said. "Nintendo have made no new announcements regarding The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. We can however confirm that the game is still in development and that it will launch on Nintendo GameCube in 2006." Twilight Princess is expected to see a release in the latter half of the year. The earliest the game could arrive is in the summer of 2006, with the latest being winter 2006. These Revolution-exclusive rumors are an entirely plausible ideas since the console itself is expect to see a release at the same point in time. Reported by Elias Dounis on January 6th, 2006 (1:34pm)
