New Super Mario Bros. Coming in May
The Mario Brothers return to their side-scrolling glory days sooner than expected.  February 15th, 2006 (3:27pm) - The most exciting piece of information to come from the Nintendo DS Press Conference held earlier today in Japan is news of New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo DS seeing a release in Japan this May. This May release window is much sooner than fans expected due to the extremely high profile nature of the game and series.
New Super Mario Bros. is the first new instalment in the Super Mario Bros. series since Super Mario Bros. 3 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and the first new and traditional Mario side-scrolling adventure since Super Mario World on the Super Nintendo (SNES). With the release of New Super Mario Bros. being in May, it makes fans wonder what high profile DS games Nintendo has geared for the holiday season of 2006. A North American release of New Super Mario Bros. should shortly follow its Japanese release, but no official announcement has been made at this point in time.
