Gran Turismo 4 Online Still Coming to the PS2
The definitive version of Polyphony Digital's infamous racing series still geared for PS2 release. February 22nd, 2006 (6:17pm) - Just like the new God of War 2 information that we posted earlier, some new information has also leaked in regards to Gran Turismo 4 Online.
Once thought to have been canned in favor of a next generation Gran Turismo game for the PlayStation 3, Gran Turismo 4 Online is scheduled to see a release in the second quarter of 2006 for the PS2. GT4 Online will feature an online multiplayer mode that allows for six players to compete in a single race. The game will also feature worldwide server rankings, a replay upload function, online voice chat, and customizable options for online competitions. Continuing the GT tradition of offering the most fleshed out racing simulation experience on a home platform, GT4 Online promises over seven-hundred cars, fifty real-life race tracks, and the massive single-player portion of the game from the original version of GT4, which includes B-Spec and Photo mode. Hopefully, Sony will make an official announcement about the game within the coming weeks. Reported by Elias Dounis on February 22nd, 2006 (6:17pm)
