Infinity Ward to clean up Call Of Duty 2
Patches upcoming for the massively popular WW2 shooter. February 24th, 2006 (3:50pm) - In an email sent to us by Infinity Ward earlier today it has been confirmed that there are patches about to be released for Call Of Duty 2 for both the Xbox 360 and the PC. The patch upcoming for PC use includes the following modifications:
1. Punkbuster functionality 2. Two new multiplayer maps. 3. HTTP redirect in multiplayer, which adds an option for modders to send players to an external website to download their maps and mods. 4. Repair of multiplayer exploits and minor bug fixes In addition to these high points finishing touches are being added to the map editing tools which will be out very soon. Moving on down to the 360 side of things, a slew of fixes that gamers have been screaming for will finally come to pass: 1. First and foremost, player lag has been addressed! 2. Private Game Lobbies / Reserved Slots 3. Enable Live Host to set custom game options 4. Map Preferences setting 5. Post Game Lobbies (players at end of match will return to lobby) 6. Enemy Player Name Notification 7. Kick Player (for those unwanted guests) 8. Lobby Game Type, Map and Host Notification No exact date has been announced yet but speculation has the patches hitting within these next few weeks. Stay on Gamersmark for more news.
