Foundation 9 Entertainment Continues Rapid Growth

Four of the company’s studios are moving into new office space to accommodate the steadily rising number of employees.

March 22nd, 2006 (5:36pm) - Foundation 9 Entertainment announced today that its rapid employee growth has necessitated facilities expansion at four of its seven studios.

"We’re in a hiring frenzy," said Douglas Hare, founding partner and co-president. "Our need for talented individuals has only continued to grow since Foundation 9 was formed a year ago. Publisher demand for our services has never been higher, and we’re expanding to respond to the demand."

The company’s Pipeworks and Backbone Vancouver studios have already relocated to larger spaces, while Backbone Emeryville and The Collective are slated to move in the coming months. The company also recently announced the opening of a new studio in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

As part of its recruitment efforts, Foundation 9 will be exhibiting at the Game Developer’s Conference in San Jose this week. The company will be actively accepting resumes and conducting interviews of qualified candidates during the show at its booth (#1923) in the career pavilion. All of the company’s studios across North America are currently hiring for multiple positions.

Foundation 9’s studios are currently in development on more than 30 projects for all current and next generation consoles, handhelds, cell phones and interactive toys. Its upcoming titles include Dirty Harry for next generation consoles, published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and The Da Vinci Code for PS2, Xbox and PC, published by 2K Games.
