Version Spider-Man 3 Designed Specifically for the Revolution
No, it's not exclusive to the console but you're likely to get a more "hands-on" approach to web-slinging on Nintendo's next-gen machine. March 24th, 2006 (12:35am) - As fans brainstorm to conjure up what kind of unique gameplay possibilities the Revolution controller presents, its not surprising to hear someone think of a Star Wars game designed for the Revolution in which the pointer would act as a lightsaber, or where in a Spider-Man game, players would use the remote to mimic Spideys web-slinging abilities. Well, if youve thought of it then its likely that the respective game development studios working with these properties have thought of the same thing. With this said, IGN has learned that Activision will indeed look to offer a version of Spider-Man 3 that is specifically designed for Nintendos next generation game console and controller.
Just imagine a Spider-Man game in which you precisely aim Spideys webs at enemies, shooting their legs to tie them up and waving the Revolution controller in a helicopter motion to swing a thug around and toss him wherever you see fit. This is the kind of opportunity and gameplay interaction that the Revolution controller opens up and it seems as if Activision is pursuing the development of such features, but nothing can be confirmed at the moment. It has been previously revealed that Activision will have at least one Revolution game planned for release during the consoles first four months of availability and Spider-Man 3 could very well be this game. However, nothing can be confirmed at the moment.
