Next 3D KOF Officially Announced
Sequel to King of Fighters Maximum Impact coming this summer. March 29th, 2006 (4:06pm) - SNK Playmore USA officially announced today that the sequel to last years King of Fighters: Maximum Impact is now going to be called the King of Fighters 2006, an original 3D fighting game designed specifically for home consoles, and produced by noted artist and designer, Falcoon. KOF 2006 will ship for the PS2 in summer 2006.
Currently celebrating its twelfth year as one of the most popular fighting video game franchises in the history of gaming, King of Fighters 2006 will continue to build on the series rich history with several new characters, as well as many returning favorites. KOF 2006 will feature characters from King of Fighters 2006 : Maximum Impact and a number of hidden characters. "KOF 2006 will be a perfect mix of speed, beauty and an all-new story line." said Ben Herman, SNK PLAYMORE USA president.
