Spectrobes On A DS?

Buena Vista Games says: "I want these motha-f**kin' Spectrobes on this motha-f**kin' DS!"

May 1st, 2006 (10:28pm) - Buena Vista Games has announced that they’ll be bringing Spectrobes to the Nintendo DS. Contrary to the headline of the article, it has nothing to do with Samuel Jackson.

Spectrobes instead is an all new intellectual property, and will be an RPG with a heavy anime influence. The game will be developed by Jupiter Corporation, who’s previous efforts include Mario’s Picross and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.

According to Buena Vista, players will take control of Rallen and Jeena, who are interplanetary police of some sort. Their duty is to excavate all of the 500 fossilized "spectrobes" throughout the galaxy. Once freed from their fossilized chambers, they can be trained and used to fight the Krawl -- an alien force threatening to destroy all of civilized space.

There is currently no release date for Spectrobes.
