Majesco Bringing Cooking Mama to North America

Don't expect to see cooking games just on the Wii. The Nintendo DS lends itself to the genre as well.

May 3rd, 2006 (1:25pm) - Majesco Games has announced that it will be brining the quirky Nintendo DS cooking game, Cooking Mama, to North American shores. This announcement has come as an interesting move seeing that cooking games aren’t a very popular genre in North America, and in addition to that, the game had sold terribly in its native Japan.

In Cooking Mama, players will use the DS touch-screen and stylus to slice, dice, stir and cook food. Importer impressions have called the game cute and fun.

Expect release details and screens of the NA version of the game to appear at E3 next week.
