May 8^th, 2006 (10:30pm) - The latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly has hit news-stands and on the cover you will find Legend of Zelda hero Link, as the issue highlights the upcoming Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and its enhanced functionality for Nintendo’s upcoming game console, the Wii.

According to the issue, the Twilight Princess is at approx. eighty-percent completion and the reason for the delay was to drastically enhance the game’s in-game visuals, and add other functions exclusive to the game when played on the Wii, including being able to play the game in wide-screen, and an online mode (which does not include a battle mode). The game is also said to feature more dungeons and items than the great Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Other Wii-related information in the magazine includes a speculated retail price of $249.99 for the console, a built-in speaker on the "Wii-mote" (the console’s controller), the inclusion of all first-party developed Turbo-Grafx 16 games for the Virtual Console (at system launch with 3rd party games to follow soon after), estimated price-point for VC games ($5 and less for NES and SNES games, $10 for N64 titles), progressive scan for all VC titles, and information revealing that the Wii will be connected to the internet at all times when connected to the internet.
