Nintendo Tokyo Developing Super Mario Galaxy
Also, seventy people working on Super Smash Bros. Brawl! May 11th, 2006 (2:59pm) - Takahashi Tezuka, the general manager of Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development (EAD) has revealed that the newly formed Nintendo Tokyo studio is developing the highly anticipated Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii.
The Nintendo Tokyo studio has only been in operation for a handful of years and the first game the studio produced before working on Super Mario Galaxy had been the critically acclaimed Donkey Kong Jungle Beat for the GameCube. The studio is comprised mostly of former EAD employees and the Super Mario Galaxy team is being lead by legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto. Lastly, when Mr. Tezuka was asked about the size of the team working on Super Mario Galaxy, he only said that its "much smaller" than the team of Super Smash Bros.
