Xbox360 Backward Compatability To Continue?

Microsoft sending mixed signals about the future of backward compatability. Apparantly now they’re "not done."

June 2nd, 2006 (3:30pm) - Gamersmark reported earlier today about comments made by Xbox VP Peter Moore concerning the future of the Xbox 360’s backward compatability and how he thinks they’ve "over-delivered." According to John Porcaro, a member of the backward comapatability team who caught wind of the internet upheaval regarding this topic, Moore’s suggestion is not the case.

Porcaro says in his blog (which is linked below) that at least a dozen titles should be added in the next few weeks and are currently undergoing testing.

"But rest assured, we’re not done yet," Porcaro said. "We know for a fact that there are lots [emphasis theirs] of people who continue to care about backwards compatibility, including the ’Emulation Ninjas’ who are working full time on the updates. And those of us posting on this blog. And, of course, many of you."

Again, the entire blog is available at the link below.
