Yuke’s Company of North America Opens
Osaka-based company expands its reach into North America. June 6th, 2006 (1:43pm) - Yuke’s Company, Ltd., an established game development company based in Osaka, announced today that it has opened their first North American office, Yuke’s Company of America. Yuke’s Company of America is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yuke’s Co., Ltd., and intends to publish games on a number of platforms including the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the PSP. Yuke’s Company, Ltd. was founded in 1993 and has over 100 employees worldwide. Yuke’s is primarily known as a developer of wrestling and racing titles, including THQ’s WWE Smackdown series, the Rumble Roses series for Konami, and the D1GP Professional Drift series. Yuke’s is a major sponsor of Team Orange, a premiere drift racing team, and has a controlling interest in New Japan Pro-Wrestling Co., Ltd.
