Justice League In The Palm Of Your Hand

Eidos will deliver two different Justice League games for the Nintendo DS and the GBA. Details inside.

June 7th, 2006 (1:33pm) - Love the Justice League but prefer to play games on a Nintendo handheld? It’s good news for you that home consoles won’t be getting all of the DC superteam love. Warner Bros. Interactive announced that both the Nintendo DS and the GameBoy Advance will be getting their own, totally unique Justice League games.

The Nintendo DS Justice League will be set before the console version, and is being developed by Sensory Sweep (resume includes DS versions of Marvel Nemesis, Need For Speed: Most Wanted. Players will use the stylus to control the heroes. Batman, Superman, The Flash and Wonder Woman are the playable characters, but appearances will be made by Aquaman, Green Arrow, and other fan favorites, though fans shouldn’t hold their breath for the Blue Beetle.

The GameBoy Advance version is being handled by WayForward, famous for the GBC cult-fave Shantae, and the GBA’s Sigma Star Saga. The game is titled Justice League Heroes: The Flash, and is a spinoff starring none other than, you guessed it, the Flash. Players can slow down time, representing the Flash’s hyperspeed abilities, and apperances will be made by Superman, Wonder Women, and other League members.

Both games are planned for a Fall release, to coincide with the console versions.
