Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow Ships to Retail

PS2 and PC subject to piracy -- by Jack Sparrow, of course!

June 28th, 2006 (6:55pm) - Bethesda Softworks has announced that action/adventure game Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow for the PlayStation 2 and PC has shipped to North American stores.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow, developed by Seven Studios and Bethesda Softworks and distributed under license from Buena Vista Games, Inc., relives adventures throughout the life of Captain Jack Sparrow – as only he can tell it – and will feature the voice of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow.

Featuring a blend of fast-paced action and adventure that captures the entertaining characters, settings, and spirit of the first film, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, players assume the role of Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, and Elizabeth Swann. Players can hack and slash their way through a dozen locations with fully interactive environments and varied gameplay. Action will take place in a variety of lush, immersive settings, including burning buildings, wrecked ships and moonlit caves.

With co-op multiplayer mode, players can take on the game’s challenges with a friend and play side-by-side. As the game progresses, players will be rewarded with advanced combos and moves to defeat a wide range of new and varied foes. Played alone or with a friend, it’s an experience any Pirates of the Caribbean or Captain Jack Sparrow fan is sure to enjoy.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow is rated T for Teen and is available for the PlayStation 2 and the PC. For more information visit http://pirates.bethsoft.com .
