Gears of War Release Date Announced
Microsoft’s trump card against the PS3 has been shown.  August 4th, 2006 (2:13am) - Epic Games has announced that the release date of their AAA Xbox360 title will be released on November 12 -- the week the PS3 is released throughout the world.
Gears of War is obviously Microsoft’s answer to the PS3’s launch, but how much of an impact it could actually make will be seen. Gears of War be on store shelves with a standard edition available for $59.99 and a limited collector’s edition available for $69.99. The limited edition will offer the official "Destroyed Beauty" art book and a bonus DVD featuring an inside look at the making of the game in a metal box.
