PS3 Will Support Old Game Saves
Sony updates its PS3 FAQ and reveals that data on PS2 and PSOne memory cards can be used on the system. August 5th, 2006 (12:59pm) - With the Playstation 3 being nearly one-hundred percent backward compatable with not only PS2 games, but PSOne games, people were understandably worried about how and if their old game saves could be used on the system. Well, those fears can now be put to rest because Sony updated their FAQ with the answer.
Sony announced a new device that will transfer the data on memory cards onto the PS3 hard drive, creating "virtual memory cards." This device will work through the USB or Memory Stick slot. Data can also be sent the other way. Reported by Anthony Swinnich on August 5th, 2006 (12:59pm) [From: PS3 FAQ]
