Nintendo Looking to Make Gamers Healthy

Diet software in development for the Wii.

August 16th, 2006 (1:17am) - With the success of Nintendogs, Brain Age and its respective spin-offs, sequels, etc... it comes as no surprise to hear of Nintendo further exploring the "non-game" territory. Earlier today, a Bloomberg report revealed that Nintendo is currently in development with software for the Wii that will help gamers become healthy. Yes, dieting software.

This dieting software is just one of the many "non-games" Nintendo is expected to have in development for the Wii and it’s expected that the earliest we may get some insight into the development of the game will be at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany at the end of the month.

Non-believers have often joked that they wouldn’t like to use the Wii controller since it would feel like a workout... Well, perhaps Nintendo is intentionally looking to give players a mild cardiovascular exercise session with Wii software specifically designed around that concept. You never know, Nintendo may just have a Wii Aerobics game in development!
