Nintendo sends Pokemon Battle Revolution, and thusly the beginning of Wii online gaming, to stores.  June 25th, 2007 (2:26pm) - Nintendo of America announced today that Pokemon Battle Revolution has shipped to stores.
"Already more than 2 million copies of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl have sold in the United States alone," said George Harrison, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "The arrival of Pokémon Battle Revolution brings those players a whole new set of challenges and, for the first time on Wii, online battles." This title will be the first game released where players can battle via the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection on their Nintendo Wii. It is also the first game to support Wii to DS communication, allowing players to import Pokemon trained in Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl into the game.
