PR: Merscom’s Casual Games Available for $.01/minute

July 22nd, 2007 (3:07pm) - Merscom announced today it is forging a partnership with Double Trump to make five of its casual games available via true micro-licensing™. Ingenious, D.N.A, Buku Sudoku, Ball 7 and Buku Kakuro will all be available for download on Double Trump’s PlayOn Arcade.

PlayOn Arcade is a new and innovative way to play and buy casual games. With PlayOn, users can download and play any game they want for as long as they want, and pay only for the actual time they have played. It’s like buying the game one piece at a time, with the ability to stop whenever they don’t want to play that game any longer. Their maximum charge per game is limited by the list price of that game, so they will never pay more than the original game price.

"The opportunity to work with Double Trump is another step in offering our games to users when, where and how they want them," said Lloyd Melnick, Chief Customer Officer for Merscom. "Double Trump’s unique micro-licensing™ model lets casual gamers play for $0.01/minute, redefining the way people buy games."

"We are excited to be working with Merscom," said Assaf Monsa, CEO of Double Trump. "Our business model is based on letting our customers buy as much of a game as they want, never paying without getting value for their money, and they are going to find Merscom’s games very addicting."
