PR: WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 Goes Greatest/Platinum Hits
August 14th, 2007 (1:40pm) - THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) and JAKKS Pacific, Inc. (NASDAQ:JAKK) today announced that the critically acclaimed WWE(R) SmackDown(R) vs. Raw(R) 2007 video game has been added to the "Platinum Hits" collection for the Xbox 360(TM) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. The game also has joined Sonys "Greatest Hits" collection for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system and PSP(R) (PlayStation(R)Portable) system. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2 versions of the game originally launched in November 2006 and are now available for the suggested retail price of $19.99. The PSP system version, which launched in December 2006, will be available at retail on September 5 for the same suggested retail price. "Achieving Platinum Hits and Greatest Hits status simultaneously is a tremendous honor that speaks to the continued growth and development of the SmackDown vs. Raw video game franchise," said Scott Guthrie, senior vice president, North American sales and distribution, THQ. "We look forward to seeing its popularity expand further as we bring WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 to seven platforms this holiday season, including the franchises return on Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and wireless devices, and its debut on the Wii(TM) home video game console, Nintendo DS(TM) and the PLAYSTATION(R)3 computer entertainment system."
