The Suits Arent That Impressed With Nintendo Anymore?
Despite the Wiis astronomical success in 2007 and everybodys love for the DS is Nintendo going to see their sales start to sag? March 23rd, 2008 (10:38pm) - KBC Securities Japan said sales in the U.S. and Europe are peaking after a year of growth, and as the dollar continues to weaken margins will drop for the Japan-based Nintendo.
Sooner or later sales of the Wii would peak, despite Nintendos success at targeting customers beyond the traditional console player, at some point most people who want one will have one. But the gaming business has two cycles: Console sales and game sales. And as console sales peak, game sales should ramp up. And here Nintendo should be in the best shape compared to competitors Sony and Microsoft. It owns many of its bestselling titles (Wii Play, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl), and has several more anticipated in house games (Mario Kart Wii, Wii Fit, etc). coming up. Reported by Justin Bigelow on March 23rd, 2008 (10:38pm) [From: SAI]
