Wii Fit Launches in Europe
UK retailer reports avg. of 90 copies sold per min. April 25th, 2008 (9:23am) - As Wii Fit steadily approaches the the milestone of two million sold in Japan, Nintendo launched the game in Europe earlier today and its reported to have been selling at an alarming rate. UK retailer Woolworths is reporting that Wii Fit has been selling an astounding ninety copies for each minute that passes by.
Most industry onlookers expect Wii Fit to join Wii Sports as one of the main proponents of this Wii phenomenon as the console itself is on the verge of reaching a worldwide life-to-date install base of 25 million strong, surpassing its GameCube predecessor in just over a year. The game launches in North America on May 19th.
