Joe Satriani to be featured in Guitar Hero and Rock Band
Joe Satriani sells his soul, or at least his music... but not to an exclusive buyer.  April 29th, 2008 (4:37pm) - Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock left one legend out. And Joe wanted in, but he didn’t stop there.
In an interview with magazine "Guitar World," the legendary Joe Satriani revealed that his songs "Satch Boogie" and "Surfing With the Alien" have been licensed by Activision and EA for their next installments or updates to the Guitar Hero and Rock Band franchises. However, we cannot confirm which songs will appear in which game. Joe Satriani is a world famous instrumental guitarist and has worked with the likes of The Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger, Van Halen’s David Lee Roth, Deep Purple, Steve Vai and many other rock legends.
