Nintendo Channel Now Available
Nintendo has made a new channel available for the Wii -- one that offers downloads of DS demos and video previews. May 7th, 2008 (1:32pm) - Those awaiting more of the promised funcitonality of the Wii can rest easy -- Nintendo has finally released the Nintendo Channel in America.
The Nintendo Channel allows gamers to download demos to their Nintendo DS and to check out videos for upcoming games. Immediately available are demos for Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword and Cooking Mama 2: Dinner with Friends. Users can recommend games by filling out surveys, and say whether its suitable for men or women, single or multiplayer action, and hardcore or casual gamers. The information collected is then collected and accessable through the search function, which helps people find games that will suit their tastes. The videos consist of previews for Virtual Console titles and Wii and DS game demonstrations. There is no word yet on whether the channel will preview WiiWare games, but its likely that it will.
