Tony Hawk DS Exclusive in 08
Major revision planned for consoles next year May 8th, 2008 (11:27pm) - Activision revealed earlier today that the Tony Hawk franchise will be put on hold for home consoles until the fiscal year of 2010, which actually begins in April 2009. However, Tony Hawk will not be completely absent from the gaming scene since Activision is planning to release a DS-exclusive instalment that plans to utilize "new technology not yet seen" on the handheld.
Once again, Activision will attempt to revise the series and breathe new life into a once dying but now dead franchise, promising a major step forward in the genre. "This title will have two years in development to deliver the kind of breakthrough that the franchise needs," Activision Publishing president Mike Griffith revealed at an earnings call earlier today.
